Flickr will no longer provide Unlimited storage for free accounts from next year

Flickr, if you are unaware about it, is a platform where people share their photography skills. It is a platform where you share your photos and see the photos from others. Flickr provided Unlimited storage for photo sharing so that you can share as much as you want. This is also the reason why people have been using it for a long time. However, there is some disappointing news for Flickr users who used it for free. Flickr announced that the Free Flickr accounts will no longer have unlimited storage.

The company announced that Free Flickr accounts will now have a limited capacity of sharing 1000 photos and videos from next year. Now, this would sound to be a small limit but it is not so small if we think about it. Basically, you get to share 1000 photos and videos every year for free. So if you share even 2 photos each day then also it doesn’t add up to 1000 photos per year. Now add to that the videos as well so the 1000 photos and videos capacity will be utilized. Even then, if you want to have unlimited capacity then there is a plan for you too. This new plan is named as Flickr Pro.

In simpler terms, Flickr Pro is the current Flickr which is available for free. As was the case earlier, Flickr Pro will continue to cost $49.99, and in addition to unlimited storage, ad-free browsing, and advanced stats, you’ll also now also get priority support, up to 10-minute video uploads, 5K photo uploads, increased exposure for your pictures, more detailed stats on mobile, and extra partner discounts. Another thing is that the Flickr limit on Free accounts will start from January 8, 2019. Flickr also gives a very tempting offer for the free Flickr users looking to upgrade to Pro. They are giving a 30% discount to existing Free Flickr users.
