Fortnite is the latest sensation in the gaming industry and for all the right reasons as well. Fortnite was launched on iOS earlier this year and it has created a havoc on the platform. Looking at its popularity on iOS, the Android users were waiting for the game to release on Android. The release eventually happened last month but there was a twist. Fortnite was released on Android with the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note9.

However, the twist was that the game remained exclusive to the Galaxy Note9 and later to Samsung smartphones for a week or so. Eventually, the game has now been released for all the Android users around the world. Still, there is one more thing that is strange about Fortnite. And it is that the developers of Fortnite have decided to not publish their app on Google Play Store. This affects most of the Android users but it affects Google a lot in terms of revenue.

Thus, if you want to download Fortnite for your Android smartphone then you will have to download the game from their website. This was also a cause of concern for many and people estimated that the game would not reach the heights that it did on iOS. But, everyone seems to have been proven wrong as the installation numbers of Fortnite for Android have been released.

According to the installation numbers, Fortnite has crossed 15 million downloads and installs mark on Android alone. This also means that 15 million people have taken the hassle of downloading the game from a different website rather than Google Play Store. This goes to show that if an application is popular than it does not matter whether it is available on Google Play Store or not. People will still download the application from wherever they can.

It also seems as if Fortnite’s decision to not publish the app on Play Store so that Google doesn’t cut its revenue by 30% has worked wonders as the developers will be 100% profiting from the Android users.
