Apple iPhones are not selling well in India and that is known to all. However, the worrying report came earlier this year that Apple has reported lower than expected earnings. This is due to weaker iPhones sales in 2018 around the world. Now, Apple has thought about something to boost their sales in India, at long last. This decision is that the Apple iPhones such as the iPhone Xs and the latest models will now be manufactured in India. This will definitely reduce the prices of Apple iPhones in India.

We can say that the main reason for Apple iPhones not selling well is because they can be afforded by only a select group of people in India. Even the premium Android smartphone buyers are not able to easily afford the Apple iPhones’ latest models which is a concern. Therefore, India manufactured Apple iPhones will reduce the import costs and other subsidies will also be available.

Now, you would know that the Apple iPhones are manufactured by a company called Foxconn in China. From China, Apple imports all of their iPhones and sends them to different parts of the world. Now, this could soon be the case with India too as Foxconn has decided to manufacture the iPhones in India. Also, this is a beneficial move for the Indian economy too. Because Apple iPhone manufacturing takes workforce and a gives employment to a lot of people in China.

Thus, we will see a huge boost in the area where Foxconn will set their iPhone manufacturing plant. It is also revealed that Foxconn will invest $356 million in expanding the product line to meet the orders by Apple. According to reports, this investment will create more than 25,000 jobs in India. Now, this move is also seen as potentially limiting any damage that may be caused due to a trade war between China and the US.
