After rumors and leaks aplenty, Gionee has recently confirmed the launch of its newest series of smartphones -the Gionee S9 and S9T. Launch date is Gionee-confirmed to be November 15, and we can barely wait till then! The device was spotted on the Chinese certification website, TENNA thereby giving Gionee fans a sneak peak on just what the company had been up to all these while. And we like them are definitely impressed.

Both devices have been the stuff of rumors and furtive pipe-dreaming, with the chief talking being about its dual camera setup- the latest in-thing for flagships. The back cameras for these Gionee products are therefore expected and confirmed via a Gionee released teaser image to be dual 13MP and 5MP shooters, with a further 13MP sensor up front for selfie duties.

The S9 sports a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 1080 and a 2.5D curved glass display. Power reputedly comes via a relatively powerful 1.8GHZ octa-core processor mated to 4GB of RAM. Internal storage is a reasonable 64 GB, readily expandable via SD card to 128GB. Battery juice is a reported 3000mAh, capable of some hours of heavy use. Whether it is user removable is unknown presently. Connectivity and sensor options will expectedly include all the usuals like 4G LTE, GPS, Wifi, and Bluetooth, while device weight is allegedly a mere 165.5 grams.

It’s apparently more beefed-up and probably more expensive brethren, the Gionee S9T will be considerably more powerful at a rated 2GHZ. Other specs are both unknown and unconfirmed but will undoubtedly be superior to the S9 as befitting its big brother status. Weight of the device is also assumed to be slightly over 200 grams. Available colors are probably Silver, Black, and Gold as per the usual Gionee habit. Price is unknown at present, but is sure to make your wallet cry for mercy.

Gionee really knows how to keep us in suspense and unmercifully tantalize us, but we should know better next week. Stay tuned till then.
