You must have heard about the latest gaming service launched by Apple named as Apple Arcade. The service offers 100+ games to play on your iOS devices when you subscribe at just $4.99 per month. The initial reviews have suggested that Apple Arcade is great and it is just left to see how Apple is able to convert customers who are using the free 1-month trial. Basically, you get all the games for free inside Apple Arcade when you pay the monthly price. This means that instead of buying the apps individually, you are renting them on a monthly basis.

Google has now done something similar on the Play Store as the Play Pass subscription service is launched in the US for now. In some ways, Google Play Pass is even better than Apple Arcade because you get games as well as paid apps for free inside Google’s service. Also, both the services cost exactly the same which is $4.99 per month. At the moment, Google has not revealed exactly which apps will be available inside Play Pass. But the launch video shows that Monument Valley 2 which is a paid game will be included along with many others.

The company reveals that you get access to more than 350 apps and games with Play Pass which are completely unlocked. You get no ads, no in-app purchases or other restrictions in the included apps. Also, you can have up to 6 family members in your single subscription which is also same as Apple Arcade. As for the initial apps list, you will have apps and games like Terraria, Monument Valley, Risk, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and AccuWeather, LIMBO, Lichtspeer, Mini Metro, Old Man’s Journey along with others. Google also says that new apps and games will be added to the service every month so you are not left with limited options.
