Google has been one of the companies known for making totally wireless earbuds since they announced them at the Pixel 4 series launch event last year. Now, we have finally arrived at the day when Google’s Pixel Buds 2 which are named as the Pixel Buds have arrived and are going on sale for $179.

Now, it is worth noting that Google did mention the launch of these Pixel Buds which are totally wireless last year itself and that they will not have any strings in between like the first generation Pixel Buds that were similar to the OnePlus Bullets Wireless in design.

As far as the second generation Pixel Buds are concerned, they look very similar to the Apple AirPods and the Samsung Galaxy Buds. However, it is worth noting that the Google Pixel Buds lack some features when compared to the AirPods Pro or even the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus. But it is also fair to say that the price range is different because the AirPods Pro and Galaxy Buds Plus are well above the $200 mark.

The biggest feature that Google Pixel Buds don’t have is active noise cancellation and Google has added a software feature that goes by the name Adaptive Sound. This is basically a correction inside the buds which will adjust the volume when the surroundings have higher or lower noise. For example, if you are in a quiet place then the volume will automatically go lower since you don’t need higher levels while it will go to full volume in traffic.

Google says there are sensors inside Pixel Buds that can detect when your jaw is moving which means that you are on a phone call or eating and thus, it allows you to hear the person on the other end of a phone call even when it is windy and noisy outside
