Google Pixel 4a’s leaked renders show punch-hole camera and single rear camera

We have seen a strategic shift from Google starting this year with its Pixel lineup. While we were used to seeing the Google Pixel lineup from the company every year, they also released a smaller and trimmed-down version of its flagship earlier this year.

The phone we are talking about is the Google Pixel 3a which came with a sub-$400 price tag. Now, it comes with lower specifications and is nowhere close to Pixel 3 series in performance.

However, the main talking point of this phone was that it had the same camera(almost) as the Pixel 3 series. This meant that you would have a minimal difference between photos captured by Pixel 3 or Pixel 3a.

Therefore, if you are only looking for a phone which can capture flagship-grade photos then you would be better off spending your money on Pixel 3a which is half the price of Pixel 3.

Now that the Pixel 4 series has released, we expected Google to release its Pixel 4a as a successor to the Pixel 3a. And as expected, Google is indeed releasing a Pixel 4a sometime next year. We now have the leaked renders of Pixel 4a courtesy of 91Mobiles which show a hole-punch camera on the front.

To be honest, Pixel 4a looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S10e from the front which also makes sense because of their prices.

On the back, it is a different story because you only have a single camera with a flash module but it still has a square camera module.

Now, we believe that Google decided to keep such a camera module so that its Pixel 4 series looks consistent.

However, the problem with Pixel 4a’s single camera sensor is that you don’t get any versatility like a wide-angle or telephoto lens.

That said, we do expect Google Pixel 4a to have the best camera experience in its price range and even compete with the “flagship-killers”.
