Google Pixel Event 2018: Everything Google Announced Is Here

The most important Google Pixel Event in this year is over, and with it, we have witnessed the arrival of a whole new product from Made By Google responsible for filling the company’s hardware catalog. For the third consecutive year, Google has shown that not only is it a company specializing in software, but the combination of hardware, software and artificial intelligence can translate into devices as advanced and complete as those of the competition.

Now that we have seen in more detail each of the new products announced in Google pixel Event, it’s time to review and see, one by one, all the news announced by Google at its annual hardware event.

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL

The most anticipated of Google pixel Event was not long in coming: Google announced the new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, and all its features and prices just a few hours ago. The third generation of Pixel phones brings with it a family design that focuses on the glass, the largest screens seen so far in the Pixel family, and technical specifications that match the best phones of the year.

At the photographic level, we find again a single 12-megapixel rear camera, which Google accompanies with various functions based on artificial intelligence and machine learning. On the front, two 8 megapixel cameras, one of them wide-angle for group selfies.

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, both starts from the price tag of $799.

Along with its new phones, the company has also introduced a new series of cloth covers, similar to those we saw with the previous Pixel, but now with different shades of color.

Google Pixel Stand

Accompanying the Google Pixel 3 comes a new charging base called Pixel Stand, which takes advantage of Qi wireless charging technology included in the Pixel 3 to recharge the batteries of this pair of terminals. The base is compatible with fast and wireless charging, and leaving one of the phones on it, will activate a series of extra functions based on the Google Assistant, which virtually turn the phone into a smart screen. Its price is nearly $79.

Google Pixel USB C Earbuds

One of the new products that have gone unnoticed most of the presentation is the Pixel USB C Earbuds, a Type C USB headset of only $39, which maintain a design similar to the Pixel Buds announced last year, and add features such as The integrated Google Assistant or translation in real time.

Google Pixel Slate

The first Google tablet with Chrome OS is here, and it’s much better than we thought. Under the name Pixel Slate hides a tablet with 12.3-inch screen and resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels that yield a density of 293 ppi in what Google calls as “Molecular Display“.

Under the hood is an Intel processor, which can be from a Celeron to an eighth generation. You can choose if you want 4, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 64, 128 or 256 GB of storage.

In any of the configurations, the tablet will be compatible with a physical keyboard backlit with the integrated trackpad, and the own Stylus of the Pixelbook. Its price starts from $599 and goes up to $1599, not counting the $199 and $99 keyboard and stylus respectively.

Google Home Hub

Google wants to sneak back into your living room, and will try it with Home Hub , its first intelligent screen based on Assistant, which combines the sober and colorful design that defines the line of devices Made By Google , with extremely useful features that make this device in a multimedia center, information and control almost perfect.

For only $149, Home Hub allows any action that could be carried out with a Google Home smart speaker, with the difference that in this case, it is possible to see everything that is done thanks to its 7-inch screen.

Google Chromecast 3

Finally, and almost in secret, Google also announced today a new generation of the famous Chromecast , which maintains its low price of $39 , but adds features such as Bluetooth connectivity, a renewed design now with matte finish – and white color that is adds to the already known black tone- and the logo of the great G.

It also appears support for multiroom and a performance that exceeds by 15% the previous model. It is available today in some markets, while others, will have to wait until 2019 to receive it.

And that’s all. While many expected the renovation of the Pixelbook or a new edition of the Pixel Buds headphones, the fact is that Google has remained conservative, and has not presented more news that had already leaked some time ago. Maybe next year there will be more room for surprises.
