Google has been at an all-new level of marketing with its Pixel 4 series. We have seen that Google, prior to the Pixel 3a announcement, were very secretive about its product launches. However, the leaks and rumours regarding Google Pixel 4 have made the company change its strategy. For example, we already saw the official Twitter account of Google’s hardware division confirm Pixel 4’s design. Now, we have another announcement from Google regarding Pixel 4 which has taken everyone by surprise.

This is the announcement that Pixel 4 will come with Face Unlocking features. Also, Google confirms Pixel 4 will not have a fingerprint sensor. And from this confirmation, we can also note that the device will neither have a physical fingerprint sensor nor an in-display one. Apart from that, the company says Project Soli components will also be present on the device.

Project Soli was announced by Google a few years ago which is a sensor that detects hand motion. Now, Google will use this Project Soli sensor to detect hand gestures for a ‘touch-less’ experience on Pixel 4. With this feature, you will be able to move your hands in specific motion to change music, take screenshots, pause/play songs etc.

Apart from that, the sensors present on Pixel 4 have also been revealed. From this, we can see that Pixel 4 will only have a single camera on the front which is disappointing. Because Google Pixel 3 came with dual front cameras where one of them was a wide-angle lens. Sadly, that might not be available on the Google Pixel 4 series.

But we do know that the Google Pixel 4 will have dual cameras at the back. Also, some reports suggest that Pixel 4 will have a ToF sensor as well. Google also confirms that Pixel 4’s biometric data will be stored on a secure chip locally and the data will not be shared with other Google services.
