Google has finally revealed the price and launch date of its Stadia gaming platform. Stadia is the gaming platform from Google which totally works from the cloud. You do not require any dedicated hardware for playing games similar to Xbox or PlayStation. This makes Google Stadia an even more compelling deal. Now, Google has said that its Stadia platform will be available for users this November.

Also, it will cost you a subscription of $9.99 per month to play games on Stadia. This is if you buy the Stadia Pro pack available on the Stadia platform. It will give you 4K streaming at 60 frames per second along with surround sound support.

However, Google also offers a free tier with Stadia called Stadia Base. Another thing to note is that Stadia Base will not have any games included. So you will have to buy games at their retail prices to play on Stadia. Stadia Base will provide streaming up to 720p resolution at 60 frames per second as well. On the other hand, Stadia Pro pack comes with some games pre-included in the subscription. But you still have to buy games not included in Stadia Pro at retail price.

Apart from that, Stadia Pro currently offers on one game at launch which is Resident 2. However, Google does say that there will as many as 31 games with Stadia Pro at launch in November. Another factor with Google’s Stadia is internet speed. You will require a minimum of 10Mbps download and 1Mbps upload speed to stream Stadia Base. For Stadia Pro, you require at least 35Mbps download speeds which are recommended for a lag-free experience.

At launch, Stadia supports Google’s Chromecast Ultra which supports 4K streaming. Also, you can play Stadia games on your Chrome browser. Also, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a lineup of devices are supported while support for other devices will come soon.
