Honor, the sub-brand from Huawei, earlier launched the Honor 7X in India. This smartphone came as a successor to the Honor 6X which was announced last year. Now, Honor made this smartphone as an Amazon-exclusive at the time of launch. The smartphone has received a lot of praise for its pricing as well as performance. However, the deal has gotten even better for the consumers as the Honor 7X has now received a permanent price cut in India. Also, the company has announced that the Honor 7X has started receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update via EMUI 8.0 update for Indian handsets.

Talking about the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Honor 7X, the company has a lot of features in store. First of all, the Honor 7X receives the much awaited Face Unlock feature. Along with that, there is a gaming mode added with the latest update for a smooth gaming experience. In addition, there are several modes such as power saving mode, ride mode and smart mode that have been added to the Honor 7X. One important feature related to augmented reality has also been added to the device.

This is the AR Lens feature which will let you add filters and effects to the image in real time. Along with the above-mentioned features, you can now set one of your fingerprints to specifically open the PayTM app. For example, if you set your thumb to open the PayTM app then whenever you input the thumb, you will directly see the PayTM scanner on your screen rather than the home screen. Coming to the price cut, the Honor 7X 4/32GB variant’s price has been slashed to Rs. 11,999 from the Rs. 12,999 for which it was sold earlier. On the other hand, the 4/64GB variant of the Honor 7X is now available for Rs. 14,999, a Rs. 1000 lower than the previous price of Rs. 15,999.
