Honor View 20 announced

Honor, Huawei’s sibling company, has just announced a new smartphone in the market. This smartphone comes in the Honor V series from the company. The smartphone in question is the Honor View 20 or Honor V20. Last year, Honor launched the View 10 and now we have its predecessor too. Now, this announcement from Huawei’s Honor seems to be more of a hype-generation rather than a launch event. This is because Xiaomi also teased a smartphone with a 48MP camera a few days back. Therefore, Honor does not want to feel left behind and so, it has also announced that View 20 will have a 48MP camera.

On the other hand, the Honor View 20 will also have an in-display camera which will be fitted inside a display hole. Now, this is very similar to the Infinity-O displays we have seen on Galaxy A8s and Samsung Galaxy S10. It is also announced at this event that the Honor View 20 will come in January next year. The 48 MP camera on the Honor View 20 will be a Sony IMX586 sensor coupled with the AI computing power and graphics processing.

Apart from that, we have known about Honor View 20’s internals too. The View 20 from Honor will have their latest Kirin 980 processor which is a Dual-ISP and Dual-NPU SoC. Honor View 20 will also have a display which gives immersive experience and is almost bezel-less. The company even claims that they have added layers after layers on its display to achieve an almost 100% bezel-less design.

We also have details regarding the launch event of Honor View 20. The smartphone will be launched in Paris on January 22, 2019. The company has also shared the samples of photos taken by Honor View 20’s camera and they are simply stunning. To know the pricing details and more about the Honor View 20, we shall wait until January next year for its official launch.
