One of the first things that come to mind whenever we see Huawei news is regarding their future in the industry, and foreign markets in general. Because while we know that Huawei is absolutely dominating in China, it is almost non-existent since the last few months in the foreign markets including India. We know that the company gives solid hardware experience on their devices but the software is where it has a problem because of Google’s Android support in jeopardy due to the US-China trade war.
Now, we also know that the two countries have reached a phase one deal which means that the situation might be a little relaxed. However, we also know that the US government has a problem with Huawei, more so than China, which makes matters even worse. Anyways, we now have a leaked press image of what is believed to be the Huawei P40.
To quickly recap Huawei’s smartphone lineup, the company releases two flagship series every year which are the Huawei P series and the Mate series. The Huawei P series’ 2020 smartphones will be the Huawei P40 series and Mate 30 series will come by end of this year.
Talking about the Huawei P40 series, the P40 has now been leaked and it shows that the device will have dual cameras at the front. There will be no notch but the cameras will be inside a punch-hole similar to the S10 series. On the back, we will see a triple camera setup but we believe there will be a P40 Pro with four cameras at the back.
Also, Huawei will also follow this year’s trend of the rectangular camera setup which is getting weird right now with all the leaked phones having this setup other than OnePlus. Also, there will clearly be a camera bump as we can see from the side-on shot inside the press render which is also disappointing.
