iMicroscope R Integrates Microscope With Your Phone

iMicroscope R

Nowadays, people make use of smartphones for performing calls and browsing the web. Have you ever used a microscope with your smartphone? iMicroscope R is here to the rescue. Developed by QingYing E&T LLC, the iMicroscope R is solid, slim and comes with the dedicated app.

With the help of the integrated scale-bar, you will be able to know the size of the micro-objects. Moreover, the iMicroscope R measures only 4.5mm thickness and it doesn’t add weight to your phone. Hence, you can easily insert the smartphone into your pockets.

The iMicroscope R is manufactured using an aspheric lens, which is designed to correct aberration. You will be able to reduce distortion if you make use of aspheric lens. It also bears an instant lens switching mechanism. Hence, it will be easy to swap between the normal camera mode and microscope mode.

According to company sources, the iMicroscope R is designed using aircraft grade aluminum alloy with CNC machining coupled with anodized finishing. If you work with the product, you will see diamond cutting and laser engravement. The microscope includes a nano suction pad, which has thousands of micro air pockets. The main purpose of the micro suction cups is to hold the device to the smartphone without fall.

The nano suction pad integrated with the iMicroscope R is free from residues. Hence, you can place the pad and take it off without causing any marks on the phone. You can also easily clean it by touching with a PSA tape. You will be able to use several times without any need to purchase the microscope again.

The company also provides a dedicated mobile app for both Android and iOS. It is designed to capture micrographs. You can active and deactivate the scale bar on the micrograph. It is also possible to calibrate and validate with the microRuler.

If you are using a phone with a flat camera, you can attach iMicroscope with nano-pad. You can remove it after microscope observation. If you work with a big extruded camera, you can attach the iMicroscope to the phone case and then attached to the smartphone. The company provided an adhesive pad along with the product package.

The iMicroscope R is available for pre-order on Kickstarter starting at CA$ 59. If you pay CA$ 78, you will get 2 μRuler (M and Q) along with the microscope and user manual.
