We know that Apple’s WWDC is coming very soon. As Apple announced earlier, this developer conference from the company will take place at the start of June. Now, we know that same as Google I/O, we get to see a lot of exciting announcements at the Apple WWDC. Last year, we were greeted to the announcements of macOS Mojave, iOS 12 and other Apple products. For this year, we expect to see Apple announce the next version of macOS.

macOS’ next version is expected to support Project Marzipan which is Apple’s project which will allow iOS apps to run on macOS and vice-versa. We also know that the next version of iOS, iOS 13 will be announced at this year’s WWDC. As always, there will be a lot more exciting features coming to iPhones.

However, there is one not-so-exciting news for some iPhone users. This is regarding iOS 13 dropping support for some iPhones. With iOS 13, Apple is reported to drop support for iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE and previous iPhones. Also, iOS 13 will also stop supporting older iPads such as iPad Mini 2 and iPad Air. Although the iPads are quite old right now, the decision to stop supporting some iPhones in this list will get Apple some flak.

One of the reasons is that older iPhones are quite popular in India. Quite possibly because they are less priced than the current ones. Therefore, most of the users would have clung on to the iPhone 6 series or even the iPhone SE. However, they will soon realize that the iPhone they purchased just a week ago will have its support dropped by Apple.

Now, this is also seen as Apple’s way of telling old iPhone users to upgrade to newer devices. Because Apple had blamed users for not upgrading their iPhones more often during its earnings call earlier this year.
