Apple released the latest version of their iPhones earlier this year. These iPhones are named as the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max. Apart from that, Apple released their 10th anniversary iPhones in 2017. This iPhone was named as the iPhone X. Now, both of these iPhone X and iPhone XS have all-new design language which is different from iPhone 8 series. This design comes with a notch and a bezel-less symmetrical look. Now, we know that these iPhones have been well received among Apple fans and customers alike.

However, it is now known that Apple faces a lawsuit due to this iPhones. Specifically, two of the US residents have filed a lawsuit against Apple. This lawsuit is filed against Apple for the iPhone X and iPhone XS series. According to the claimants, Apple has misled customers of iPhone X and iPhone XS in its marketing material. They claim that Apple has purposely hidden the notch on iPhone X and XS to attract customers.

Also, the claimants have said that Apple has marketed a false screen size and pixel count for the iPhone X and iPhone XS. According to them, the iPhone X has a 5.8-inch display according to Apple’s marketing material. But it is found out by them that iPhone X actually has a 5.6-inch display. Apart from that, iPhone X has an inferior display than the Apple iPhone 8 Plus according to them. However, Apple claims it to be the best display Apple has ever made.

To back their claim, they have provided some evidence too. It is known that every pixel has 3 sub-pixels of red, green and blue. This is true for the iPhone 8 Plus and every other iPhones till date. However, the iPhone X and XS have only 2 sub-pixels in every pixel which means the pixels are lesser than claimed. The claimants are now requesting for their lawsuit to be given class-action status.
