We are weeks ahead of the official unveiling of many smartphones. These smartphones include one of the biggest flagships for this year. This is the Samsung Galaxy S10 series which will be unveiled before the MWC 2019. Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S10 will be unveiled on February 20, a week before MWC. However, we know that LG traditionally releases their flagship G series smartphone at the beginning of MWC. We expect this trend to be repeated by LG for 2019’s LG G8 release too. Right on cue, we now have our first look at the renders of LG G8.
By the looks of it, LG is not going to make a big change to its LG G8 this year. We say that not making too many changes is a good thing but it is not the case, always. As the LG G7 failed to make a huge impact last year, we were expecting LG to make a comeback with the LG G8 this year. Same as most of the leaks shared recently, this renders are available to us thanks to OnLeaks and 91Mobiles. According to the renders, LG G8 will have glass on the front and back with a metal construction in the middle.
Also, there will be a dual camera setup on the back in horizontal layout. LG G7+ ThingQ also had the same camera layout at the back, only that it was a vertical one. LG G8 will have a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and a loudspeaker. It is interesting to see that the LG G8 will retain the headphone jack whereas most other flagships have ditched the port. Apart from that, we will see a dedicated Google Assistant button on LG G8. Also, the LG flagship is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 855 processor.
