MacBook Pro 2018 said to feature 'Fastest SSD Ever' on a Laptop

We just heard the news that Apple refreshed its MacBook Pro lineup for 2018 a few days ago. Now, we are getting more and more details about the latest MacBook Pros from Apple. First of all, we would like to remind you that the MacBook Pro lineup c0nsisting of 13-inch and 15-inch displays have only been refreshed.

There is no word regarding the MacBook, MacBook Air and other devices from the company. For MacBook Pro, there are no major design changes but the internals of this laptops have been improved to a greater extent.

Talking about the internals, you can now purchase the MacBook Pro with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 4TB of SSD storage as well as an i9 processor from Intel. Alos, it should be understood that this laptop is close to $6700 in terms of USD and the Indian pricing of this highest-specced MacBook Pro 2018 is close to Rs. 5 Lakhs in INR. For this price in India, you will get a basic car like Alto and Kwid.

Let’s keep the price of this Laptops aside for the moment as we already know that they are not for the average consumers. Talking about the internals, we already mentioned that the SSD’s have been upgraded and we are now getting reports that this SSD is also known to be the fastest available on any Laptop.

According to a report from Laptop Mag, we get to know that the 13-inch variant of MacBook Pro 2018 offers a read/write speed of 2,682MB/s which is by far the best given by any SSD in the market. To test this speed, they conducted some tests and found that the MacBook Pro 2018 takes just 2 seconds to duplicate a file of 4.9 GB which is tremendous.

In comparison with the SSD found on XPS 13 from Dell, it gives a read/write speed of just 400 MB/s which is way slower than the one found on 2018 MacBook Pro. This is also due to the fact that Apple has optimized their file storage to better work with SSD or Flash Storages.
