Microsoft releases a few details regarding its next generation of Xbox before the E3 gaming conference. We now know what the upcoming Xbox gaming console will perform like and also the expected date of its launch. According to Microsoft’s official press briefing, the upcoming Xbox has been codenamed, Project Scarlet. But we expect the next generation of Xbox to be named as Xbox Two series.

In the Xbox Two series, we will have two gaming consoles as Microsoft confirms. This will be similar to Microsoft’s current lineup of gaming consoles. At the moment, Microsoft has Xbox One S and Xbox One X which are the affordable and premium offering in the Xbox lineup. The same will happen next year and we expect to see Xbox Two S and Xbox Two X possibly next year.

Apart from that, we also know how the performance on the upcoming Xbox codenamed Project Scarlett will be like. First of all, Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox will support 8K gaming. Also, there will be Ray Tracing support on Microsoft’s latest Xbox. Another major change will be SSD support on Microsoft’s new Xbox. Microsoft says that adding SSD on the new Xbox will improve its performance up to 40x more than the current Xbox One X which is the most powerful Xbox at the moment.

Microsoft says that Xbox Two will also use GDDR6 RAM which should improve the performance of the upcoming Xbox even more. All in all, Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox promises to be a powerhouse in terms of performance. Also, the company says that the 2020 Xbox will be available in Fall 2020 during the holiday season which is also when Sony is expected to release its PS5. Therefore, we can expect to see the Xbox Two from Microsoft announced at theE3 gaming conference next year.
