Gionee S8 unveiled at the MWC 2016 event. After many speculations and rumors, it is the time to have the real specs of the S8 including some catchy features. The slim design is the main attraction of the innovative product. It is the world’s first smartphone to feature invisible loop antenna design It has a loop metal design with a neat and royal metal covered most of the parts. Sweetening the launch, the company also unveiled their logo at the event. They implemented the new logo on the S8. The smiling logo brings some more beauty to the backside of the phone. With the change in logo, Gionee is to impulse the product to the users hearts.
Looking to the specs, the device features a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and 2.5D arc. A Corning Gorilla Glass 4 is placed on the top to deliver some great toughness to the display to resist accidental drops and scratches.Amazingly, Gionee included the 3D touch feature on the S8 as we seen on iPhone 6s. It can sense 4 different levels of force including touch, tap, press, or even sides of the display. Gionee has included a sidebar that let the users access desired applications using the sides of the display. A great innovative feature in such a good device.
Talking about the hardware inside, there is a 2.0GHz 64-bit MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 octa-core processor powered by 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM that can be expanded further. The exact expandable amount is not yet out from the company. The device might come with a GPU to accelerate games and total graphic performance of the S8. But no official confirmations are out. There is a speculation that it features a Mali-T860MP2 GPU to support the CPU in performance.
Gionee S8 will feature a 16.0MP shooter on the back with PDAF, laser autofocus, f/1.8 aperture and dual-tone Flash to provide clear images even in gloomy conditions. While flipping there is an 8.0MP camera to provide good selfies. Connectivity of the S8 lead by the latest 4G LTE connectivity followed by the 3G, 2G, Wifi, Bluetooth, etc… Gionee S8 is powered by the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Amigo 3.2 UI. A 3000mAh battery fueling the whole device and sounds like it holds it all the day without needing to recharge.
