HMD Global has launched a new smartphone in India yet again. We already saw the launch of Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus earlier this year. Now, the latest smartphone from Nokia is the Nokia 7.1. This is believed to be the upper mid-range smartphone from the company same as the Nokia 7 Plus last year. One thing which is similar is that the Nokia 7.1 is an Android One offering from the company too.
As far as the specifications of the Nokia 7.1 are concerned, they are quite interesting too. First of all, Nokia 7.1 has HDR10 support on its display which is a first for the midrange segment devices. This display is a 5.84-inch Full HD+ panel with an aspect ratio of 19:9 along with a notch. There is a slightly lower 80% screen-to-body ratio on the device which is a bit lower according to current standards. The display also adapts to indoor and bright outdoor sunlight called as PureDisplay by Nokia.
On the internal side of Nokia 7.1, it runs on Snapdragon 636 processor along with 4GB of RAM. This device has dual rear cameras, a 12MP primary one and a 5MP secondary one. Apart from that, there is also a single front camera of 8MP which is AI enhanced. The device includes a 3060 mAh non-removable battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. However, the Android 9.0 Pie update has already been rolled out for the device.
The Nokia 7.1 also has fast charging support over USB Type-C which can charge from 0 to 50% in a matter of 30 minutes. The Nokia 7.1 is available in Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel colours. The device is priced at Rs. 19999 in India for the base variant and is available on all major retailers in India including Nokia.com/phones from December 7. Customers purchasing the Nokia 7.1 using HDFC Credit/Debit cards from offline stores on PineLab terminals in India will get 10% cashback as well.
