We have already reported that OnePlus is collaborating with the McLaren F1 team. This is to launch a new variant of the OnePlus 6T named as the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. Now, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is officially announced at McLaren headquarters in Woking, London. This means that we can have a look at all the new things inside this device.

Now, we should mention the fact that this is same as the OnePlus 6T regular variant from the inside. There are some changes to the smartphone in looks and features but most of the specifications remain the same. For example, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is still powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC. However, it has 10GB of RAM for faster multitasking. Also, the device’s internal storage has been bumped up to 256GB for this variant.

Apart from that, the device still has a 6.4-inch screen with a waterdrop notch. It has the same dual camera setup on the back with a single camera on the front. It also has the in-display fingerprint scanner from the OnePlus 6T. The major change on the device is in the looks from the outside.

As OnePlus has partnered with McLaren, it is obvious that McLaren F1 would put some of their touches on the device. Therefore, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition has orange accents on the edges of the rear panel. Also, the device has carbon fibre patterns on the back panel. Apart from that, the iconic OnePlus red cable comes in an orange colour for this variant. It is also a braided one rather than the smooth one on the regular variant.

Also, the battery brick of this variant is slightly tweaked too. First of all, it is now called Dash Charge power adapter and it comes with 30W fast charging. It promises to give a day’s power in 20 minutes.
