OnePlus has finally announced its highly anticipated OnePlus 7 series. The launch event took place simultaneously in India’s Bangalore as well as New York in the US. One interesting point here was that OnePlus did not announce OnePlus 7, yet, in the US. However, it did so in the Indian markets along with the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Obviously, OnePlus has made it clear that OnePlus 7 Pro is their flagship smartphone of 2019. And therefore, we already expected OnePlus to focus mostly on its flagship device. Talking about the OnePlus 7 Pro, most of the details were already known to us via leaks and official reports.

The only thing regarding OnePlus 7 series which was left to be revealed was its official pricing. At the event, OnePlus announced pricing of both OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro for India. It must be said that OnePlus 7’s pricing did surprise everyone in the industry.

OnePlus 7 will start at Rs. 32,999 in India for the base variant of 6/128GB. The prices go up to Rs. 37,999 for the 8/256GB variant. However, the interesting part here is that the OnePlus 7 base variant’s price is less than that of last year’s OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T.

As for the OnePlus 7 Pro, we get a 6.67-inch AMOLED QHD+ display which is also HDR 10+ certified. We get a 90Hz refresh rate which OnePlus calls ‘Fluid AMOLED’. On the inside, we have a Snapdragon 855, up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

There is a triple rear camera setup on the OnePlus 7 Pro with its primary camera being a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor. The other two cameras in this setup are an ultrawide and a telephoto lens. We have Warp Charge 30 support as well which charges the device’s 4000 mAh battery to 50% in 20 minutes.

Coming back to OnePlus 7, it has the same display and design as OnePlus 6T with a waterdrop notch. However, we get an upgraded Snapdragon 855 processor inside the device. Along with that, the in-display fingerprint scanner is claimed to be faster. The rear camera setup also has an upgraded 48MP primary camera. However, you still have the regular Dash Charge on OnePlus 7 and not Warp Charge 30.
