One company that we love to talk about in the smartphone world is OnePlus as it always has something up its sleeve to surprise everyone. While this cannot be termed as a surprise since the company already revealed what’s in store, we are still pleased to see the new “OnePlus: Concept One” showcased at CES 2020 by the company.

By the way, this is the first time ever that OnePlus has remained present at the tech show which is after five years of their presence in the industry. Talking about the Concept One, it is a OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition which has been re-engineered in a way to make its rear cameras disappear. Yes, that is precisely what OnePlus has managed to do with its Concept One phone. The company has added an electrochromic glass at the back which can hide the content behind it. OnePlus says that they can make the glass go from visible to opaque in under a second.

This means that you can hide the rear cameras of your device at any given time. While you would say that what’s the need to hide the back cameras, there might be a time when the camera sensors might get too much for the device and it might make it look ugly. So OnePlus says that the glass might help hide the device’s ugliness by making it look clean and aesthetic making it look like an all-glass back.

On the other hand, the glass does serve one more purpose of acting as an ND filter for your device too. So if you are in a bright environment and you don’t want so much light coming to your cameras, you can toggle the ND filter to activate and your cameras will capture less light due to the tint on your glass which can give you that natural effect.
