We have seen plenty of reports and even some confirmation regarding OnePlus’ Smart TV lineup coming soon. Last year, OnePlus confirmed that it will be launching a lineup of Smart TVs next year. Apart from that, leaks started to come out regarding the OnePlus TV to be launching soon. Recently, we saw all the models of OnePlus TV being certified by Bluetooth SIG as well. This basically confirms that the launch of OnePlus TV is happening very soon.
However, everyone knew that OnePlus TV was a tentative name until OnePlus reveals the name of its Smart TV. For this, OnePlus even held a competition in order to find the name for its first Smart TV lineup.
But it looks like OnePlus has stuck to the traditional name for its Smart TV lineup only. As the company has revealed that its Smart TVs will be called “OnePlus TV”. OnePlus also revealed that they got many unique names but they have decided to stick with their company name and TV beside that.
The logo for OnePlus TV has also been revealed and it is basically the OnePlus logo and TV written beside that. But that is not to say that OnePlus has abandoned all the people who had entered the competition. Because the company has announced that first person in its competition who suggested OnePlus TV as the name will be rewarded with a big prize.
With this, OnePlus confirms that the launch of OnePlus TV is indeed coming soon. As the logo and the name unveiling suggests that the branding material, as well as advertising material, has been readied by the company.
It is expected that the OnePlus TV will be available sometime in September next month. We expect OnePlus to launch its TV lineup globally focusing on North America, India and Chinese markets.
