We heard from OnePlus earlier this month that they will, for the first time ever, attend CES 2020 which will take place in the first half of January.
Now, we see that not many smartphones are launched at this event but we do get to see a lot of innovation taking place. For example, the first glimpse of a foldable smartphone was at the CES 2019 when we got to see the Royale Flexpai.
Later, Samsung revealed its Galaxy Fold at the MWC in February. Now, we are hearing that OnePlus also has something interesting up its sleeve to showcase to the world.
Now, this might be a smartphone or a foldable phone or a smartwatch or something that OnePlus has not launched before.
However, the company says that such a product does not exist in the market. Therefore, it seems that OnePlus is really launching something new and it has named it as ‘Concept One’.
If we talk about innovative products in the market, Microsoft has already revealed its hinge-based Surface Neo and Duo which are both folding tablet and phone respectively.
There is already the Galaxy Fold from Samsung as well as the Motorola Razr 2019 which is flipping foldable phone.
Now, this makes for an interesting unveiling as to what exactly has OnePlus planned for the CES 2020 which is likely to be launched later next year. This will definitely not be the OnePlus 8 Lite since it is called the ‘Concept One’ which tells you that it is a concept phone meant for limited production.
OnePlus does say in their poster that the Concept One will showcase an “Alternate Design” and “Alternate Future” which does not reveal anything in particular but does hint at something out of the box. To know what the ‘Concept One’ exactly is, we will have to wait until January 7, 2020.
