Oppo has launched the A5 2020 and A9 2020 in the Indian markets today. These names may seem confusing to you at first as they did to us as well. As we have seen that smartphones don’t generally come with the year in which they are released. Also, we are seeing the 2020 editions of smartphones releasing in the third quarter of 2019. Moving on, OPPO A9 2020 and A5 2020 prices in India start at Rs 16,990 and Rs 12,490, respectively. On the other hand, the smartphones will not have to wait on the shelves for long as they will be on sale from September 16.
One of the first things that you will notice on the Oppo A5 2020 and A9 2020 is that they both come with quad rear cameras. This means that you are likely to see even more smartphones with four cameras at the back next year. Also, the design of these smartphones look very similar to other Oppo phones. However, they also look similar to the Redmi Note 8 Pro as well which also has a quad-camera setup.
Another interesting part of the phones is that they come with 5000 mAh battery, ColorOS 6 and oval-shaped physical fingerprint sensor. Also, both these smartphones come with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display as well. You also get the same Snapdragon 665 chipset on both these devices which is justified for a mid-range smartphone. In addition, there is up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage on the Oppo A5 2020 whereas you get up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal capacity on the Oppo A9 2020.
In terms of camera, the only difference between Oppo A5 and A9 is that the former has a 12MP primary camera while the later has a 48MP primary camera. Apart from that, you will get the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide unit, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor and another 2-megapixel depth unit on both these devices
