Realme, which is an upcoming sub-brand from Oppo, has been doing great in India. The company has launched plenty of smartphones in the short span of their existence. This includes the Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro and the Realme C1. Also, we have heard about the launch of the Realme 3 series before this year’s end. Now, we all would be aware that Realme’s smartphones are sold as Flipkart-exclusive. Meaning that the smartphones are available only on Flipkart.com

There was a tweet from the Realme CEO, Ram Madhav, earlier this week. This was regarding the company’s concern on depreciation of the rupee against the US dollar. This way, the prices of their smartphones were also needed to be adjusted. But, we also saw that Realme assured customers that the Realme smartphone prices will remain the same for time being. However, that has not been the case and Realme has already increased the prices.

This price hike took place on Flipkart for Realme’s Realme 2 and Realme C1 smartphones. As far as the Realme C1 is concerned, it was available starting at Rs. 6,999. However, the Realme C1 is now available at Rs. 7,999 which is a Rs. 1000 price hike. On the other hand, Realme 2’s prices have also been increased. The base variant of Realme 2 which has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage was launched at Rs. 8,990. However, it has now been hiked up to Rs. 9499 which is a Rs. 500 price hike

Interestingly, Realme 2’s variant having 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage still has the same price. This smartphone is available for Rs. 10,990 in India. Now, Realme hasn’t shared any details whether or not the Realme 2’s 4/64GB variant prices will remain the same. Or if the prices of this variant will also be increased similar to others. However, we will be on the lookout for any changes that may occur in the device’s pricing.
