Samsung Galaxy S8 Images Surfaced With Sale Date Pushed To April 28

Samsung Galaxy S8 Tipped To Enter Shopping Carts In The US On April 10

With only a few days left for the official launch of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones, the images of the phone have been leaked via multiple channels. In yet another significant development, Samsung has reportedly modified the official sale date on April 28 instead of the previously announced April 21.

The image leaked by Techtastic reveals the presence of physical navigation buttons embedded on display in a White color variant. We can clearly spot the White color on the thin bezels including top and bottom portions. The upper part houses several sensors including front camera and the rumored Iris scanner. We infer that Samsung has integrated security encryption for login as you can see from the leaked image.

Meanwhile, an anonymous case maker has leaked three pictures of the Galaxy S8 in Black color on Slashleaks. The first image displays the time as 12:46, which signals the possible launch of the phone at this time on March 29. Upon inspection, we can confirm the addition of an edge-to-edge display also called as Infinity.

The second image clearly reveals the presence of the dual-camera sensors and LED Flash on the rear side. We can see a large sensor in the middle alongside a smaller one located on the right side. A big flash is placed on the left side. The image also shows a white sticker on top of the camera. It could be a fingerprint sensor although we don’t have any definite confirmation.

The third image portrays the look of the Galaxy S8 in a side angle. The case maker has also affixed a transparent back cover on the phone. Towards the middle, we can spot the control buttons such as volume rockers and power button. Interestingly, we are unable to locate a dedicated button for activating the Bixby AI-based digital assistant.

In addition to Galaxy S8 series, Samsung is also expected to unveil the new Exynos 8895 processor, which is exclusively manufactured for handsets with dual camera. Samsung took to Twitter and shared an image of the capabilities of the processor. It will provide support for Dual Image Signal Processor (ISP).

We expect Samsung to ship the premium Galaxy S8+ with the Exynos 8895 processor. To recall, Samsung is scheduled to launch Galaxy S8 series on March 29 in the US. With pre-orders starting in April, the handsets will ship to customers from the last week of April. Stay tuned with The Tech Hacker.
