Samsung is scheduled to officially launch the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones simultaneously in New York and London. The company will live stream the launch event and also provide updates via Facebook and Twitter handles.

If you are in New York, you need to visit David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center for the launch of the Galaxy S8 at 11 AM EDT. Samsung is gearing up to launch the smartphones at Here East (2012 Olympic Press and Broadcast Centre) at 4 PM.

Although Samsung is not conducting a launch event in India, you can watch the live stream on the Galaxy Unpacked event website starting 8.30 PM. Moreover, the company will also live stream the entire event on the Samsung Mobile YouTube channel. You just need to keep a tab on the below YouTube video at around 8 PM IST.

You can also install UNPACKED 2017 Android app to have a 360-degree viewing experience of the launch event. The app is also available for the iOS platform.

In addition to Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S8+, you can also expect the launch of a new Gear VR headset, Gear 360 camera including DeX docking station. You can establish connectivity with your new Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 with the docking station.

While the Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.9-inch display, the Galaxy S8+ is expected to ship with a large 6.2-inch QHD display. Moreover, the display will feature a bezel-less dual-edge curved 2K display with Super AMOLED panel manufactured by the company.

The highlight of the Galaxy S8 series is the ability to change the display resolution to three possible options. Hence, you can change the resolution to suit your requirements. The upcoming phones will also integrate an Iris scanner, which enables you to unlock the display using your eyes.

A significant change in the Galaxy S8 is the absence of a physical home button. According to sources, Samsung will also launch a Blue color variant of the phone in addition to Gold, Grey, and Black color options. You will also find a fingerprint sensor on the rear. If the rumors are to be believed, you can expect the integration of an AI-powered digital voice assistant named Bixby.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB expandable internal storage loaded with Android Nougat. The company will ship product packages with Exynos processor for select Asian countries including India.

While the rear camera will offer a 12MP sensor, the front-facing snapper ships with an 8MP sensor. A 3000mAh battery provides power for the Galaxy S8. However, if you buy Galaxy S8+, the handset will have a 3500mAh battery.
