Samsung has finally made the Galaxy A8s official. This smartphone was leaked several times over the past 30 days for various reasons. One of those reasons is the punch-hole camera on the smartphone. The Galaxy A8s from Samsung has the company’s latest display technology as well. This is the Samsung Infinity-O display which was announced last month by Samsung Display department. As far as these displays are concerned, they eliminate the notch from smartphones. For this, there is a punch-hole in the display for the front camera.

Samsung Galaxy A8s Specifications

It is obvious that Samsung Galaxy A8s being the first smartphone with this type of display will create a lot of hype. And same is the case as the device is now known to almost everyone in the tech world. The only thing remaining about the Galaxy A8s was the launch of this smartphone and it has finally happened now. Everyone’s focus seems to be on Galaxy A8s’ in-display camera but there are other good things on the smartphone too. First of them is the presence of Snapdragon 710 SoC on the device which is a premium mid-range SoC.

Apart from that, the device also comes with either 6 or 8GB of RAM which is significant enough for daily usage. The internal storage on the smartphone is 128GB but it is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card so that’s covered as well. As for the selfie camera’s hole, it is a 6.7mm wide one which doesn’t intrude much on the display. Also, the hole is on the left of the screen so there should not be an issue for viewing the screen.

The display is a 6.4-inch one and has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. One disappointment is that the display is not an S-AMOLED one and only an IPS LCD one. The device also has a triple camera on the back similar to the Galaxy A8 launched in India last month.
