One of the hottest conversations right now in the technology industry is regarding foldable smartphones. Now, we know that everyone wants to have foldable smartphones from different OEMs but the fact is that only Samsung seems to have sorted their plans regarding foldable. While others such as Microsoft and Huawei have teased their foldable phones, Huawei’s is limited to China whereas Microsoft’s foldable offerings will come later this year. Talking about Samsung, it has become the first company to have a global foldable smartphone named the Galaxy Fold.

Also, it has to be said that the Galaxy Fold has been a success even at the price of $1980 which tells you a lot about the foldable phone market. Now, Samsung is about to release its next foldable phone named the Galaxy Z Flip as per reports. Also, this smartphone will have a different design than the Galaxy Fold, similar to Moto Razr. The Galaxy Z Flip will be a clamshell device and it does bring back nostalgia from the good-old flip phones.

Our first leak of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is also here and it is exactly what was expected. There is a tiny display at the front which shows just the time and some important information. On the inside, we have a large 22:9 aspect ratio display which does have a hole-punch camera and symmetrical bezels. However, the best part about this device is that you don’t feel the phone to be big at all because it folds into half.

Now, we believe that this was the whole point of having a foldable smartphone. By this, we mean a phone which has a large display but is not big so we can easily carry it around all the time. As for sales of the Galaxy Z Flip, we see this one being sold a lot more than the Galaxy Fold and Samsung is expected to lower the price on this one as well.
