Sony CEO says that there will be "Next-Generation Hardware" for Gaming from the Company; likely the PlayStation 5

We have seen the rise of the gaming industry around the world ever since streaming websites came into existence. It is known that there are millions of gamers around the world who are passionate about gaming hardware as well as other aspects. Now, one of the major aspects of gaming is the gaming console.

We see that there are plenty of gaming consoles released every year but the ones that stand out among the rest are from Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. Talking about this consoles, Microsoft releases the Xbox console every year whereas Nintendo is known for its Switch. Similarly, Sony is renowned for its PlayStation lineup and the debates are still on whether PlayStation is better or Xbox is superior.

Now, it is somewhat uncertain whether we will see new gaming hardware from Microsoft or Nintendo. This is because of the meteoric rise of online gaming platforms as well as game streaming. Also, it is believed that game streaming is the future and the hardware will be irrelevant in the near future.

However, Sony seems to still be betting big on the hardware side of things. As far as Sony’s CEO is to be believed that is. This is because Sony’s CEO Kenichiro Yoshida confirmed that Sony will be releasing new generation hardware. Sony’s CEO said that “At this point, what I can say is it’s necessary to have a next-generation hardware.”

This certainly makes us believe that Sony is indeed going to release a new gaming console in the near future. This means that we are most likely going to have the launch of PlayStation’s next generation which will be the PS5. Also, we saw a report earlier coming out of Sony where the company suggested that the next-gen hardware is 3 years away which means that the next-generation of PlayStation is coming but the users will have to wait for it patiently.
