Spotify adds ability to search songs by its songwriters

We have seen that companies can be good and bad in the tech industry as well as the industry in general. Now, there has been a lot of talk about giving credits where its due and there are copyright claims if the credit is not given. However, there are platforms which barely give credit to the product which saves them from copyright issues. But there are other platforms which give enough credit to people involved in the action. Now, a new feature on Spotify is meant to give credit to a particular group which are the songwriters.

As you would know, there are many aspects involved in making a song where singers are just one part of that process. On the whole, the song gets written first and then the singer sings it and then the marketing team spreads the song on every platform. However, we have seen that credit for any song is given mostly to the singers singing it and a lot less credit is given to the songwriters. But Spotify is here to change this and it wants to make songwriters get their due respect as well.

For this reason, Spotify now allows songs to be searched from the writers that have written them as well. This means that not only will people be more aware of particular songwriters, but they will also know that their favourite songs have been written by which writers.

This feature inside Spotify is called Songwriters page which is similar to a Singers page. Also, we know that there are people out there who know their favourite songwriters but a majority of them don’t. So if you are in the latter category, you will get to know that even the best of singers don’t write the songs on their own which might be an eye-opener for many.
