Lava, the company that is determined that you must dump your ancient feature phone and join the digital age has just launched two more tempting budget offerings. These are the very well capable yet cheap 3G Lava A51 and the 4G Lava A76 Plus.

The Lava A51 comes bearing a respectable octa-core 1.2GHZ processor and a relatively low but still useful 512 MB of RAM. The screen is a 4.5-inch FWVGA touchscreen with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Shooters are a 5MP sensor on the back with LED flash, and a 0.3MP VGA camera out front for selfies. Internal memory is 8GB, readily expandable via SD card to 32GB. Dual-sim dual-standby and 3G connectivity only together with other normal connectivity sensors fill the rest of the sparse menu. OS is the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, while battery juice is 1,750mAh. Available colors for this device are Gold, White, and Grey. Price is just Rs. 4,199.

The A76 Plus is more heavily buffed-up and ambitious while showing off a 4.5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with 854 x 480 resolution and a pixel density of 218 PPI. Power comes courtesy of a beefier quad-core Mediatek MT6580M that sprints at 1.5GHZ. RAM is 1GB, while a Mali 400 GPU helps keep you smiling and entertained. Internal storage is 8GB, expandable via SD card to 32GB. OS like its other sibling is the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Battery juice is 1850mAh, while the cameras are a 5MP shooter on the back with LED flash, in conjunction with a 5MP selfie-boiler on the front. Connectivity options include all the usuals like 4G, Bluetooth, Wifi 802.11, and A-GPS. Available colors are White and Black only. Price is a reasonable Rs. 5,599.

Both phones are prominently listed on the Lava website and expected to go on sale soon. For the price and features enumerated, they both are irresistible. Stay tuned and do keep your money ready for when they are in stores waiting for you to acquire them.
