Vivo is all set to launch a new smartphone series in India. We also heard that the company is roping in Indian actress Sara Ali Khan for this new series’ promotions. Later, Vivo revealed that its new series will be named as the Vivo S series. Now, the company has sent out invites to the media which reveal that the first smartphone in Vivo S series will be called the Vivo S1.

Apart from that, the invite also reveals that the smartphone will launch in India on August 7. This means that we are just a few weeks away from having our official look at the Vivo S1. Coincidentally, this will be the same date when Galaxy Note 10 from Samsung launches globally. It is officially known that the Vivo S1 will come with a 32-megapixel selfie camera and stylish design. Looks like Vivo is looking to attract the young customers in India with this series.

Apart from that, a new video posted as a teaser to Vivo S1 by Vivo India reveals the smartphone’s colour variants. While there are two variants that Vivo S1 will come in, one is a gradient which has white, blue and pink colours. Now, we are continuing to see a trend this year of gradient back panels on every smartphone, flagship or not.

The second colour variant of Vivo S1 shows a diamond-cut design along with a dark blue colour which might be called Diamond Blue. This is similar to Realme smartphones which have a diamond-cut design on its back as well. While details are scarce at the moment regarding Vivo S1, we do know that the smartphone will start at Rs. 17,990 in India. This will be for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant while the 128GB storage variant may be priced higher. It is expected that the first sale of Vivo S1 might happen on August 15.
