There is a lot of buzz from quite some time now about the next generation of gaming consoles from both Sony and Microsoft. Ever since both the companies announced that their consoles are coming next year, the gaming industry is buzzing with rumours. Earlier this year, we also saw that Microsoft revealed its next-generation consoles are codenamed as ‘Project Scarlett’ while revealing its features. Now, we have our first look at the next-gen console from Microsoft which has been named as Microsoft Xbox Series X. Obviously, the Series X in the Xbox lineup will replace the Xbox One X which was released a few years ago.

Microsoft also said that they will not name their console according to the convention which is exactly what the company has done. So the speculation that Microsoft will name its next Xbox consoles like the Xbox 2 series is out of the window. Also, it is basically confirmed that the next PlayStation from Sony will be named as the PS5 series. Therefore, we can now say that you will need to wait for the holiday season of next year to buy either the PS5 or the Xbox Series X.

As far as the Xbox Series X is concerned, we also have the features that this gaming console will come with. Talking about the features, we know that the console will support 8K gameplay as well as 120Hz refresh rate which will also be variable. Also, Microsoft claims that the Xbox Series X will be four times powerful than the One X. We can also see that the design of Xbox Series X is changed quite extensively which now looks like a PC tower but smaller. Regarding the specific details, GameSpot reveals that the power button is an illuminating Xbox logo while the width is the same as the Xbox controller while the height is 3x the height of the controller.
