Xiaomi had released an all-new affordable flagship-level smartphone earlier this year. This smartphone, however, was released in the Poco lineup. Xiaomi created a sub-brand named as Poco for this range of smartphones. The first iteration of this smartphone, the Poco F1, has become a huge hit in the market. Now, if you are aware of OnePlus’s history than Poco is similar as well. Poco F1 is similar to the OnePlus One in many ways. Two of the main reasons are its flagship specifications and the pricing.
The Poco F1 has been launched in India at exactly the same price as the OnePlus One was launched four years ago. Therefore, it is obvious that the comparisons will be made. Also, the specifications of OnePlus 6T and Poco F1 are also similar. Poco F1 was launched just a few months back. But there are already reports that the Poco F2 is releasing soon. Now, we have found out a Geekbench listing which reveals the specifications of this smartphone.
Now, you would be intrigued and slightly surprised to know that Poco F2 still comes with Snapdragon 845. The Snapdragon 845 was already released earlier this year as the flagship SoC of 2018. However, Snapdragon 855 has been released to power the flagship smartphones of 2019. This means that we will not see any internal changes on the Poco F2 other than an increase in RAM. Yes, the Poco F2 will come with 6GB of RAM.
This also tells us that the Poco F2 will have some design changes as there needs to be something of a change from the Poco F1. Along with that, the Poco F2 should come with MIUI 10 based Android 9.0 Pie. As for the pricing, we expect the Poco F2 to come at the same price as its predecessor.
