Xiaomi is one company that had a strategy similar to Realme in its initial days which was to launch as many smartphones as possible in the Indian market. However, the company has been achieving huge sales growth and has become the number 1 smartphone brand in the country. This is also the reason why it has toned down a bit and is releasing limited devices in the market which perform well. As far as the launch of a new phone is concerned, it is surprising that Xiaomi has itself revealed that they have not announced any new smartphone in India in the last three months.
Now, this is nothing new for other smartphone brands which launch one smartphone per year or even two on a six-month refresh cycle. However, it is quite a massive gap for Xiaomi which launches at least one new phone every month. Ever since the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 with a 108MP camera was released in China, we were expecting Xiaomi to bring it to the Indian market. However, there were reports late last year that the launch of Mi Note 10 in India was delayed for some reason.
At that time, reports mentioned that the launch could happen in January 2020. Now, a report confirms that Xiaomi will delay its Mi Note 10 release further and bring the device to Indian markets by February 2020. This clearly shows that the production of 108MP camera sensors for the device fell short so the company could not bring the device at large to the country. However, we do hope that the production issues have been dealt with because the Indian audience would like to have their first smartphone with a 108MP camera. Also, we are most likely to see a Samsung Galaxy S20 series device with 108MP camera too so stay tuned for that as well.
