Xiaomi also has a gaming division which launches smartphones for gamers. This division from Xiaomi is called BlackShark and we have already seen two smartphones in this lineup. These are the BlackShark and the BlackShark 2 gaming smartphones. Now, BlackShark 2 Pro has been announced in this lineup. Also, the smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus which was announced recently. This is an overclocked version announced by Qualcomm this month of its Snapdragon 855 chip.

BlackShark 2 Pro, as you would expect, comes with the most powerful specifications in a gaming smartphone. The base variant of BlackShark 2 Pro comes with 12GB RAM while the difference is only seen in its storage. The top-end variant of BlackShark 2 Pro comes with 256GB internal storage. In terms of the display, the BlackShark 2 Pro has a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. Along with that, you have a 19.5:9 aspect ratio too. However, the higher refresh rate display is not seen on BlackShark 2 Pro.

However, the smartphone’s design is what would attract gaming enthusiasts out there. Because the BlackShark 2 Pro looks modern and built for gamers in comparison to other gaming phones. While there are dual cameras on the back of this device and a single camera on the front, the emphasis is not laid on its camera performance. This is also obvious because gamers are not expected to use their smartphone cameras much apart from live-streaming.

Also, BlackShark 2 Pro retains a feature called MagicTouch which is thanks to the pressure-sensitive display of this device. With this added feature, you get a slight advantage from your competitor while playing multi-player games. Also, BlackShark 2 Pro’s touch latency has been improved by 9ms. This means that the display now has a touch latency of 34ms which was 43ms earlier. In comparison, Asus’s ROG Phone II has a touch latency of 49ms.
