OnePlus 2 Review: Build Quality & Design

The design is top notch, it has a Sandstone back cover. The company also reduced the weight of the device using the aluminum alloy in the body. The OnePlus 2 is a good mix of things from OnePlus One. Apart from the name, there are quite a few differences between the Two and the One. The new feature present in the part of the design is “Slider”. The slider is useful to toggle the notification profiles None, Priority and All. Using the physical button, you can turn off notifications easily. The company has also added a metal rim which gives a premium look and feel to the device.

First time in a smartphone the OnePlus Two is launched with USB type-C at the bottom of the device. The USB type-C slot looks like normal and it is compatible with every device with standard USB ports. The power and volume keys are on the right side, the USB type-C charging slot at the bottom and the 3.5mm audio jack at the top. What makes OnePlus Two special is its StyleSwap covers, they comes in Bamboo, Black Apricot, Rosewood and Kevlar models. Overall, the build quality looks very good on the device and gives a solid feel.

OnePlus 2 Review: Display

The device comes with 5.5-inch FHD display (1920×1080) 401 ppi and it is the same what we saw on OnePlus One. The beautiful screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, viewing angles are also very good with no change in colors when you tilt the display. The colors look decent, and the sharpness levels are good.

The device is capable of recording videos at 4K and traditional FHD. The default camera app comes with Hydrogen or Oxygen OS is fast and responsive. The app includes HDR, Flash and easily focus on the object you want to capture.

The call quality on the phone was decent and we didn’t notice any issues with calls. The phone does give good battery life in normal usage which includes calls, browsing, email, casual gaming and social networking apps.
