Editors' Take: Ulefone Paris Android Smartphone Review

Ulefone is a popular Brand name from China. The company’s affordable handset portfolio is completed with the launch of Ulefone Paris. This year, Ulefone has done a very good job with the launch of Paris Android Smartphone.

The big screen is a trend in recent times and people are really wanted in an Android phone. We already reviewed the Ulefone Paris, today I’m doing a detailed review of the Paris Android Smartphone which features a 5-inch display and is powered by MTK6753 64bit Octa Core, a 1.3GHz processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage along with Android 5.1.1. There is also a 13MP rear camera and front 5MP selfie snapper.

Build Quality & Design

Gone are the day’s people spent thousands of dollars to get a perfectly crafted smartphone. The Ulefone Paris has proven that it can beat some big names undoubtedly. I’ve been a fan of Ulefone design since I used the Ulefone Be Touch 2. The Build Quality of the device is excellent, the phone looks are similar to Apple iPhone 6. So, as we can see, this is yet another smartphone maker that has decided to adopt the design language of the iPhone 6.

Since we are dealing with Chinese companies. the price is very negotiable when compared to smartphone manufacturing giants. The device is pretty good to hold, and the finishing provides great grip on the phone. The front panel contains a big 5-inch screen, set of sensors, 5MP camera, and buttons for navigation. While we are looking at the rear, we find a single LED flash, a let down when most phones of this come with dual LED flash. There is also the Ulefone logo placed in the middle of the device.

Features & Performance

So what can you do? On the home screen, the display is a 5-inch 720p LCD IPS. The display is one of the strong points of the device, it is vivid and has great colors and good viewing angles too. Coming to touch response the device is a killer, the touch is very good and soft. Multi-tasking was decent on the phone, I tested the device multiple apps in the background including games and there was close to 600MB of RAM available.

On the imaging front, it has a 13MP camera on the back with LED flash and a 5-megapixel on the front. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box. The device runs on an Android 5.1.1 which is the latest version of Lollipop. We tested the device for continuous 10 days, the performance of the OS is good we didn’t face any issues or lags while in normal and heavy usage.  The phone does give good battery life in normal usage which includes calls, browsing, email, gaming and social networking apps. We tested the battery capacity and found that if you are an average user, you can get more than a day of battery life on this device.
