Curvy edge panel, decent aluminum finish Asus Zenfone 3s Max is a good device. Its metal design is eye catchy and a bit slippery in hand. The build quality of the device is robust; the unibody aluminum shell is providing good support feel.

Size wise it is a compact phone in your hand. It has a 5.2-inch display, which is smaller than nowadays phablet size form factor. The bezels are slim, and corners are round which gives a premium look. The company has included the fingerprint scanner on the front panel. Overall, the phone feels premium and is a well-built device.

The ZenFone 3s Max has a 5.2-inch HD (720p) IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass. The display is good and sharp. The display is producing vivid colors; the brightness levels are also good under sunlight conditions.

Zenfone 3S Max is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 3GB of RAM. The performance is good for all types of conditions, I’ve tested under heavy gaming, and multiple apps open once. The device hasn’t lagged during the testing and performed well.

On the camera side, it has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash. There is an 8-megapixel camera on the front side for the selfies and video calls.

The fingerprint scanner is placed on the front panel instead of a rear panel. It can be used to answer incoming calls, launch the camera app, or take a picture. It is a pretty fast fingerprint scanner and responding in milliseconds. It is packed with 32GB of internal memory, further expandable by up to 2TB via a microSD card slot.
