How to Change iTunes Account Details

If you own an Apple device, you should have installed iTunes so that you can sync the files to your iPhone or iPad. However, you will know the steps required to modify iTunes account information. The information contains the address, credit card number, country including Apple ID. You should note that the Apple ID will be your email address.

You should have entered all the required details when you first configured your Apple device or computer. If you have not used the phone for a long time, you will forget the details. If you would like to add or modify your credit card details, you need to update your iTune account.

The steps required to edit personal information will depend on whether you need to make use of a computer or Apple-branded mobile device. You should note that modification of email address is a tricky process since it involves Apple ID.

Step 1

The first step is to tap Settings icon on the home screen and tapping iTunes & App Store. You need to tap on the Apple ID located on the top of the display. Step 2

Step 3

You can also edit payment and address information related to iTunes with a computer. Firstly, you need to navigate to the iTunes application You just need to navigate to the iTune store, click the drop-down menu with Account. If you are already logged in, you will view the first name. You can either select Account in the Quick Links section or iTunes menu bar. You should select View My Account.

When prompted, you need to provide your Apple ID password. To modify payment related information. locate the Payment Type row and click the Edit link on that row. You need to enter a new credit card information on the displayed screen. You can change the billing address by selecting Edit in the Billing Address section.

You can determine the version of the iTunes Store by selecting Change Country or Region option. After you made all the changes, you will be able to continue to make use of the updated payment and address information for downloading content.

It is also possible to modify your Apple ID email address and Pasword on a computer. You need to navigate to https://appleid.apple.com, enter your Apple ID and password. You need to select Edit in the Account section to modify email address or to modify password. You need to enter your login information and passwords including answer to security questions. You need to enter new information and select Save option.
