10 Best Smartphones with Removable Battery

Best Smartphones with Removable Battery

Today’s smartphones have some great quality designs, usually made from metal, plus they are thin and usually aesthetically pleasing, but that comes with a sacrifice. How often do are you in touch with a smartphone with removable battery? I’m confident enough to say that it’s a dying breed at the moment, which is a very problematic situation and makes life harder. What if the battery isn’t in function? Well, you’ll have to go to your smartphone dealer and request a fix, rather than just buy a new battery and replace it. But, I’m here to make your life easier and introduce 10 best smartphones with removable battery. Oh boy, this is going to be nice!

1. LG G5

Being released in April of 2016, LG G5 isn’t the newest smartphone in the series, yet it’s the last phone with a removable battery. So what does it bring to the table? Its 5.3” IPS display with 1440p resolution brings very accurate, sharp and vivid colors, and while the brightness isn’t that great like on OLED panels, the display still fares well in the sunlight. On the hardware side, this beautiful phone packs a powerful Snapdragon 820 CPU, paired with a high-end Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM; sufficient for every kind of game and multitasking. The Dual 16MP camera is capable of recording 2160p videos at 30fps, and the front-facing 8MP camera is a solid performer.

2. LG V20

LG V20 is a bit newer than its brother and comes with a screen packing 5.7” in size while keeping the same panel and resolution. However, here, we have Android 7.0 OS, which is a welcome addition that helps Snapdragon 820 and Adreno 530 work very well and optimized. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal memory, which should be enough for 2160p videos that the Dual 16MP camera can record. Also, Li-Ion battery that packs 3200mAh in power, should be enough for your daily needs, if you are a moderate to heavy user.

3. Motorola Moto G5

Motorola Moto G5 is a phone released this year, but with a removable battery. Hail to removable batteries! It also has Android 7.0 installed, but there is an update to 8.0 planned in the future, which is very nice. Snapdragon 430 will not impress you that much, but Adreno 505 is a solid performer when it comes to gaming. As the phone is in that sweet, mid-range field, it doesn’t support 2160p videos, nor it has excessive amount of RAM; 2/3 GB should be enough for the most part. Most importantly, there is a scratch resistant glass, as well as a powerful 2800 mAh removable battery.

4. Samsung Galaxy S5

Although it’s a 3-year old phone now, S5 packs a punch with its great hardware consisting of Snapdragon 810 CPU and mediocre Adreno 330 GPU. With its 2GB of RAM, you can do multitasking and web-surfing pretty well, but don’t expect some games to run that good. On the other side, its 5.1” AMOLED screen is bright, sharp and produce vivid colors, thanks to 1080p resolution and the great OLED characteristics.

5. LG V10

LG V10 is a beautiful smartphone that you simply can’t resist! Oh, and it has that removable battery too; props to that! It’s a big phone, packing a sharp 1440p IPS display with 5.7” in size. But, wait till you hear this! It comes with a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 CPU capable of almost anything, plus there is Adreno 418 GPU, which could handle most games. The camera here is a great feature, so you can now record your 2160p videos as well as 720p videos at 120fps. The battery, although being removable, doesn’t pack that much power with its 3000mAh, but it’s a standard for today’s smartphones.

6. Samsung Galaxy Note 4

I know you are all hyped about the new Note 8, blah, blah, blah. But it doesn’t have a removable battery, huh! For a phone that’s 3 years old, Galaxy Note 4 sports some badass features and hardware. Starting from a great 5.7” AMOLED display with 1440p resolution and Snapdragon 805 chipset, this phone will blow you away with its speed. Also, there is Adreno 420 GPU which handles games pretty well, along with 3GB of RAM. It’s still a fancy phone, and you’ll look like a real businessman with that S-Pen.

7. Samsung Galaxy J7 2016

As a Galaxy J7 owner, I can tell you that this phone is VERY good for the price. It’s a mid-range phone, and although it doesn’t pack any exquisite features, it still comes with that Samsung AMOLED screen, that’s sharper than any of your kitchen knives, and its Snapdragon 617 CPU is still a great deal. This phone can run games really well, and take solid photos and selfies with both 13 MP back sensor and 5 MP front sensor. With the Li-Ion battery, packing 3000mAh, J7 2016 will be a reliable companion, lasting you more than a day of moderate usage.

8. Xiaomi Redmi Note 2

The reason I call mid-range market a sweet spot, is because of the phones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 2. For a little less than $200, this phone offers you a great Octa-Core CPU, PowerVR G6200 GPU, 2G of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Sounds good? On top of  that, there is a sharp 5.5” IPS display with 1080p resolution, which is still a good deal, even after 2 years of the release. It’s a beautiful phone that deserves more attention than it has.

9. LG K10

LG K10 might not be that eye-appealing phone, but in 2017, it still offers some respectable specs similar to Samsung Galaxy J series phones. Android 7.0 is present here, which is a great addition, Octa-Core Cortex A53 CPU and Mali-T860MP2 GPU. I know, it doesn’t sound impressive, but thanks to the newest OS, it’s pretty optimized and fast for the price. The camera, however, isn’t that impressive, but hey, we got a fingerprint sensor here! A respectable choice for the budget!

10. LG G3

Oh, it feels so good opening that back cover and change the battery on my old G3. Yes, it’s old but it will kick your butt with its specs. It has a gorgeous 13 MP camera that is capable of recording 2160p videos, and all of that was available for you in 2014! Aside from that, the phone packs 5.5” in screen size, and a crystal-clear 1440p resolution, along with Snapdragon 801 and Adreno 330 to spice things up. It’s still a great solution for those with tight budget.
