10 Best Smartphones with 4.5-inch Display

As we are near the end of 2017, we’ve seen many smartphones pushing the boundaries that have been set a long time ago. Back in the time, the first iPhone that ever came out was considered big, and it wasn’t even 4 inches big! We’ve come a long way, as today’s smartphone’s displays boast more than 5 inches, even going up to 6 and more. But, let’s play it small now, huh? In that honor, I will be more occupied with those smaller smartphones, with 4.5 inches display. So, if you like smaller phones and have smaller hands like me, then you’ll find helpful the list of 10 best smartphones with a 4.5-inch display, which is just below.

1. BlackBerry Keyone

Released in 2017, BlackBerry Keyone brings back the small screen as well as the old-school physical keyboard. Nice, nice! This awesome IPS screen comes with a 1080×1620 pixels resolution, which is sharp like a blade, and there is a great Snapdragon 625 CPU to back it up. Aside from that, Adreno 506 GPU will offer some smooth gaming performance and 3 GB of RAM should be enough for the most part. The unique feature here is a camera, and it’s able to record 2160p videos, as well as a great, front-facing 8 MP camera, to make your Instagram selfies a bit better!

2. Samsung Galaxy S5 mini

Galaxy S5 is one of the most valuable phones in the series, but what about its mini version? Well, they nailed it too, here. S5 Mini comes with a slightly different hardware, sporting Cortex A7 Quad-Core CPU, as well as Mali-400MP4 GPU. Sure, this beauty won’t provide you with blazing fast performance, but still serves well. The AMOLED, 720p screen is great, offering sharp colors and great color accuracy. Overall, still a great budget phone.

3. HTC One mini 2

One thing you’ll notice here is the beautiful design, from the front as well from the back. HTC One Mini 2 looks amazing! With its small, but sleek 4.5” LCD2 display, comes 720p resolution, which is crystal sharp here, although I would like it to be more illuminated. On the hardware side, this phone will not blow you away, offering Snapdragon 400 CPU as well as Adreno 305; a dated GPU. However, One Mini 2 offers a great design and build quality, so it may as well be your great and durable companion.

4. LG K3 2017

LG K3 has the rugged, robust design, which isn’t quite nice to look at. However, this phone costs a little over $100 and comes with respectable performance for the price. 1GB of RAM, Snapdragon 210 and Adreno 304 is what is located here. I know, I know, it’s bad, but again, solid for the price. On top of that, we have a 5MP 720p camera, which is quite nice for the specs, and Android 6.0.1 is a welcome addition. For those seeking phones at a very limited budget K3, 2017 might be a great deal.

5. Motorola Moto G 4G

Motorola Moto G 4G is a mixed bag, in both good and bad sense. The first thing that amazed me is a great IPS display, sporting 720×1280 pixels resolution. On the other side, the performance is solid, although not that good, and some demanding games aren’t that playable due to Adreno 305 being a GPU. The Li-Ion 2070 mAh battery here might sound respectable on the paper, but it isn’t quite up to par. Finally, the camera comes with the 5MP sensor, which is quite disappointing for the price of this phone.

6. Nokia Lumia 635

Nokia Lumia 635 is a gorgeous phone. I’m a fan of Lumia’s design and this one looks solid in my opinion, in both build quality and design. Now, the screen is IPS, but falls short of pixels, with the resolution being 480×854 pixels. With 8GB of internal storage, there isn’t going to be much space for games, but you can play some non-demanding games, thanks to Snapdragon 400 and Adreno 305 GPU. Now, the main change here is Windows 8.1 OS, and I must say that the change is welcome, although there isn’t a proper support for some apps.

7. BlackBerry Passport

BlackBerry phones are always unique, because of that mixture of both old and new features. There is an IPS display packing 1440×1440 pixels resolution (yes, It’s a square-shaped screen), but there is also a physical keyboard. Don’t be fooled by this; listen to this now. The phone comes with Snapdragon 801 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU; now that’s a real deal! Oh, and 3 GB of RAM, I forgot to say. Now, you CAN play your favorite games, and you can do multitasking, so props to that. For the end, the most amazing component here is a 3450 mAh battery, which is literally like accumulator and lasts very long.

8. Samsung Galaxy J1

Galaxy J1 screen comes with 480×800 resolution, but being an AMOLED screen, it offers great color reproduction, eye-straining brightness, and overall solid performance. Unfortunately, Galaxy J1 doesn’t impress with the other features like 1GB of RAM or Mali-400 GPU, but hey, this device is aimed towards less-demanding users, who want a cheap Android experience. And believe me, this one is a good deal for the price.

9. Huawei Honor Bee

Huawei Honor Bee was released in 2015, but its somehow dated software didn’t do much good here. Nonetheless, Honor Bee is a great Android-on-budget experience. Its TFT screen doesn’t quite impress, but Cortex A7 CPU and Mali-400MP2 GPU are still a bare minimum, which could hold up with some games like Subway Surfers or Temple Run. With 8 GB of ROM and 1 GB of RAM, the phone isn’t going to provide you with overwhelming memory at your disposal, but the phone costs under $100, so it’s acceptable.

10. Samsung Galaxy A3

Samsung Galaxy A3 is one of the thinnest phones I’ve ever seen. It’s 6.9mm thickness and sleek design makes this phone very comfortable to use. Now, the AMOLED screen is badass but offers 540×960 pixels resolution, which is kinda odd. Under the hood, we have Snapdragon 410 CPU and Adreno 306 GPU. The phone offers a little bit for everyone and is surely aimed towards that low-end market at an affordable price. If you are up for a bigger phone, there is a 2017 version of A3 and it’s amazing too.
