Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Review

Samsung is really well sculptured when it comes to making great masterpieces. It’s the Tab S4 which was launched recently. They engineered the tablet in a great way, where we are having even the spaces to hold the screen, at the back the Tab S4 have the glass slab, even there are a number of more improvements. Today we are going to have a look at the full review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, and see if it is better than the other competitors such as the iPads from Apple still, Samsung Tab S4 is just for kids and not for real tab users.

Design & build

Talking about the design the tablet offers a full-screen view on the front, the front glass slab has really thin bezels around the side which have resulted in the omission of the front capacitive buttons and the physical fingerprint scanner. There is an all new technology sculptured inside the Tab S4 which came from the Galaxy S9 which is the iris scanner, this makes sure that you are not just left with the pin and passwords to make your tablet secure.

Talking about the materials making up the Tab S4, it is the metal chassis which holds the front and rear glass slabs. Tablet does become fragile due to the glass and metal build, but it feels solid in hand and gives a reassuring feel of a good product. When it comes to the overall fit and finish the tablet excels as it is the top of the line product from Samsung. Placements on the front are pretty normal, while on the back we have the camera and flash to the top center while the Samsung logo also presents just below it, there is an AKG branded logo found on the bottom center position of the tablet.

Display

Tablet comes with a huge 10.5-inch display which is a Super AMOLED panel, there are very little bezels around the display and the bezels are only due to the tablet form factor where one needs a bit of area to hold the tablet in hand.

The display panel is crisp and the colors pop out the display. We can feel an adequate amount of contrast, and adequate amount of color saturation found on the tablet, do note that during the night time you will have issues with the display as it doesn’t get too low on brightness which can strain your eyes. There is a night mode which you can turn on while using the phone to escape from the issue.

During the daytime, the screen is legible and you can easily read the texts even in the bright sunlight. The front glass is protected by the Gorilla Glass 4 hence there are no issues with the protection of the screen.

Performance

The Tab S4 comes with the Snapdragon 835 chipset which was last year’s top performer, complementing the CPU is the 4GB of RAM which will be helping the tablet to run smooth and without any issue. On the performance side, there is no issue on the tablet, and you can easily do most of your tasks without much pain. There is even a keyboard included with the tablet which makes multi-tasking much easy, and the all-new UI for the keyboard by Samsung makes the tablet look just like a laptop.

Gaming on the tablet is no issue and you can easily play games on the tablet with the help of the SD835 beast. It is the first tablet to rock the power chipset. Another great help with the tablet is the multi-screen view which is offered with the experience UI, here you can multitask any amount of applications, and they will run flawlessly on the tablet. Do note that you will have issues in loading the 4 or 5th application if all the running applications are on a heavy side.

Camera

The Tab S4 comes with a 13MP sensor on the back and an 8MP sensor on the front. From the two only the rear sensor is capable of 4K recording. Although if you will be using the tablet to take pictures it won’t go much well, and it is always preferred to use these cameras given for video conferencing. Still, if you want to take pictures from the camera then you can easily take the pictures without any issue and the pictures turn out quite good.

From the front and the rear units, you won’t be having much of the issue, especially in the daytime. You can easily take some great pictures which will have the Samsung characteristics. The rear camera will be able to take pictures with a good amount of saturation and the front camera will also have the same characteristics. Pictures appear to be sharp and HDR pictures turns out well. In the night time, there will be an issue with the pictures and you won’t be able to make out the best of the pictures in artificial lighting.

Battery

The tablet was able to support a 7300 mAh battery which is really high considering the form factor of the tab s4. The device can easily last for 4 to 5 days of daily usage. It just costs 10% of battery when you watch an FHD video on loop for 90 mins. This type of battery on the Tab S4 is going to make it a love for media lovers. Even while you use the tablet for official work the tablet can last for a really long time.
