Windows: If you are downloading Tor for Windows PC follow the process below.

Open your browser and header to Tor official website. Now download the Tor Bundle package on your PC. Now locate the file and launch it to create a folder named Tor browser. The folder contains all the necessary package files which are needed to run the Tor browser.

Mac: For Mac users, double-click on the downloaded .dmg file. After opening the .dmg file, it asks to drag the Tor browser file into the application folder.

Linux: Download Tor browser .tar file and open terminal. Now, execute the command given below.

Cd Downloads

Now, type the downloaded .tar Tor browser file name and execute in terminal Window.

How to Start Tor Browser?

Once you installed on your machine, now it is the time to launch the Tor Browser. Now go to the location where you have placed Tor Bundle and click on the icon to launch it.

Once you launch the Tor Browser, a connection will establish to the Tor Network and it takes some time depending on your Internet speed.

Now you have a safer private browsing session with the help of Tor. All your browsing traffic is generated through this browser and you will notice your actual IP is masked by the Tor IP.
