How to set up VPN on a Chromebook using the L2TP protocol
First, you need to get a CA certificate from your VPN service provider. Once you get, follow the below steps to install it.
- Open Chrome and type chrome://settings/certificates into the address bar.
- Click the “Authorities” tab at the top of the page.
- Now, press “Import,” choose the CA certificate, and follow on-screen instructions.
- Next, click on your account photo in the bottom right corner of the Chromebook screen.
- Now, open “Settings.”
- Here, select the “Add connection” option placed under the “Network” section.
- Now tap on “Add OpenVPN/L2TP.”
- Here, type the info (username, password or VPN Serial code) into the form and select “Connect”.
That’s it. Now you have a successfully working VPN service on your Chromebook.
