Rocket League is almost too simple a game to have gained such a huge following. Then when it is written down, it seems even more simplistic. Two teams of cars are driven around an arena, with the aim of going fast and hitting a ball into the goal.
The reason players keep coming back an hour after hour and day after day is the sheer levels of customisations available with the cars and the arenas. It’s not just getting a new paint colour on the car body, or putting better tyres on the car. It’s the gimmicks which make your car unique. It’s the sticker packs which give you a clown hat.
To be fair, you could be lost for hours just searching for the best upgrades and designing your car, before you even enter any arena. There is an abundance of tradable items which you can win or gain from the contests. Picking up credits and prizes in the game can lead to players having access to a Batmobile, a Mario Kart, or even a DeLorean.
It’s this aspect of Rocket League which really grabs the player’s attention. There’s no need to spend real-world money to upgrade or customise your car. Rocket League has created events which let players win and earn keys to unlock loot crates. Simply by playing for 10 hours will lead a player to earn a new crate. Or entering any of the special events Rocket League run in conjunction with some brand sponsorship. You could even end up driving around in Halo’s Warthog.

But then Rocket League steps up their offerings and gifts one more time, by issuing out codes for free to all players. On a pretty regular schedule, players will find or be led to special codes which can be freely shared or used by all players. The loot in these crates is normally sponsored by an external company, hence it’s free, but they are normally still pretty cool.
Check out some of these free codes for Rocket League:
popcorn
Using the code popcorn will unlocks the Limited Popcorn Rocket Boost.
RLNITRO
Entering RLNITRO into the code section will unlock the Breakout: Nitro Circus Deval and Antenna
Bekind
If you are looking for a VCR Limited Topper, then code Bekind will work for you.
couchpotato
It’s a badge to be worn with honour, and the code couchpotato will unlock the Couch Potato Limited Player Title.
rlbirthday, wrestlemania or wwedads
If you’re a wrestling fan, use any of these codes to unlock two WWE banners, antennas, and wheels.
Rocket League’s unique gameplay if stemmed in the customisation of its vehicles. Whilst players can make their cars look exactly as they like, using a couple of free codes could really add some extra flare and make them stand out from the crowd.
